Seeing shampoo, mask and brushing spray together on a grooming shelf, you might think they reach the same result in different ways. The first distinction, though, is when and how each is used. One is the washing step on a wet coat; another follows shampoo and is rinsed off again; the third is used before brushing and does not need rinsing. Reading your shopping list in that order makes your needs clearer.

Wash day: the shampoo’s role

This choice belongs to a care day that needs water, a rinsing area and drying preparation. When deciding, consider the product’s intended use and rinsing directions together.

If you want a coat-cleaning format without a water rinse, do not assume that this shampoo can fill that role; read the separate instructions for the relevant product.
After shampoo: the mask option
Avocado Coat Mask 190 ml is applied to a dog’s shampooed coat. Put an amount in your palm and massage it through; follow the waiting time on the pack, then rinse with plenty of water without using shampoo. The mask is not chosen as a standalone replacement for a washing product.
If you are considering adding a mask, account for the extra application and rinsing time as well as pack size. Having it among the options does not mean that every bath needs three products. Follow your own care needs and the product’s directions.
When you pick up the comb: the spray
Detangling Easy Brushing Spray 200 ml is applied to cats’ and dogs’ coats from approximately 20 cm before brushing. Then brush with light movements and without pressing; rinsing is not required after application. This is not the same as applying shampoo and leaving it on the coat without rinsing.
Consider coat length and structure when choosing a tool. The same brush may not be used in the same way on every coat type. Working in small sections your dog finds comfortable helps you notice where the comb catches. If it catches in an area, do not pull harder to get through. Seek professional help for tight matting close to the skin; the spray is not a promise that every knot can be forced apart at home.

If the brushing spray suits cats, can I use the mask on my cat too?
These products do not share the same target species. The brushing spray is offered for cats and dogs; this mask and shampoo are for dogs. Assess each product by its own species information.
How many minutes should I leave the mask on?
Follow the time on the current pack. Do not assume that different products have the same waiting time; after the waiting step, rinse the mask with water as directed.
Do I need to buy all three?
First choose the task you will do today. Washing, a mask after shampooing and preparation for brushing are separate choices. You do not need to add an unnecessary step just to complete a range.
Does the largest pack last longest?
